Transceiver summaries

After reading a module, CodingBox can present its details as a summary formatted like a switch's own output, ready to copy into a ticket, a change record or documentation.

Styles

The Check transceiver screen offers the summary in four network-OS styles:

• Cisco IOS
• Juniper Junos
• Huawei VRP
• Aruba / HPE

Each renders the identity and key fields the way that platform's show/display command would, so the text looks familiar to engineers working on that NOS.

Why it is useful

• Paste-ready — copy the summary with one click into notes or a change request.
• Consistent — the same module reads the same way whether or not you have the

switch in front of you.

• A cross-check — compare the app's summary with what the live switch reports (see

Verifying optics on a switch).

The summary is generated from the module memory CodingBox read — it reflects the actual bytes, including anything you have coded.
