Device linking
Linking is how a device takes a seat in your subscription. You manage links from your personal area.
Actions
- Link — attach a device to your account so it occupies a seat.
- Restore — re-attach a device you use again.
- Rebind — move a seat from one machine to another (for example after replacing a
computer).
- Release — free a seat when you no longer use that device.
Limits that protect your seats
To keep seats stable, changing the machine on a seat is limited:
- rebinds are capped over a rolling 30-day window,
- a released device has a cooldown before it can take a seat again.
Your personal area shows how many rebinds you have used and when the next one becomes available, so you always know where you stand.
Linking and unlinking a device do not count as machine changes — only relinking, restoring and rebinding a seat do.
